The Creators

Bio_jim

Jim Benton

Jim Benton has lived in or around Chicago for eleven years, and has been making websites for nearly that long. He studied Interactive Multimedia at Columbia College Chicago, where he met the other collaborators. Jim started Indylist out of a desire to find local businesses in his neighborhood without wading through the noise created by corporate expansion.

When he isn't near a computer, Jim plays drums in an instrumental rock band, cooks food, and tinkers with bicycles. Jim is living proof that beards do, in fact, make a person smarter.

Justin Siddons

Justin Siddons is the most avid Chicagoan ever to be born in Florida. With freckles masquerading as a "tan" he's never felt more at home in his grey, dismal, overcast city. In the history of his education, Justin spent K-12 in 4 states and 7 schools. Later, Justin grew fond of debt and attended Columbia College where he received a degree in Graphic Design with a minor in Pancake Flipping. He is a connoisseur of fine pants, track bicycles, and caramel flan. When he's not spooning Jim, Jon, or Phil, Justin spends his time designing Indylist graphics, organizing the groups BBQs, and jokes in references that only those who watched TGIF will get.

Jon also enjoys singing, playing the guitar and rock climbing. He currently works in Chicago and spends his free time making Indylist the best it can be.
