I went to the Planetarium for the first time ever in all my years living here and it was pretty friggin sweet. I went with my girlfriend for Far Out Friday where you pay $20 and they stay open until 10PM. We saw loads of great exhibits, made a meteorite, watched 3 films, and I ate astronaut ice cream. But the best thing about it was the Doane Observatory opened for viewing and I got to actually observe Saturn and 3 of it’s moons! It was the coolest thing ever! As well I sat and chatted with a Dr. Hammergren working in the Observatory about meteorites and space for like 45 mins. He was such a cool guy and was just sharing but loads of cool facts and information with us.
I highly recommend going to Far Out Friday’s!

I found out this is happening downtown and thought it was an amazing idea! I got invited to it on Facebook from a friend. I can only image how amazing the event will be! Check out the site and I hope you join up! If you do bring a camera and hop on here to share with us your photos! And if you go eat that night at a local joint we’d absolutely love it if you posted your photos on the restaurants Indylist page!

ARE YOU READY TO GET YOUR SHAMBLE ON?
So we had this wacky idea…
What if a thousand zombies raided downtown Chicago? Yeah, that’s what we had in mind…
Dress-up and make-up as your favorite undead and come to Chicago’s first-ever zombie walk! These things have happened all over the U.S. and Canada, but never in our lovely city. We look to change that… Saturday, June 21, 2008
Please RSVP on our Facebook event page so we have a loose idea of how many will show and can plan accordingly, and mark your calendars for the 21st of June!
We strongly encourage you to leave any suggestions or comments you may have on the boards, so we can incorporate them into our outline of the event and any subsequent meetings.
The more people the better, so invite your friends too! Invite the people you hang out with! Help us break the record of 1,125 zombies!
Lots more details to follow…

I agree, I’m already obsessed with the character. My girlfriend bought me a dancing Wall-E figurine and already I’m looking for more toys to purchase. As well Pixar released an “Art of Wall-E” that is already ordered and on it’s way!
Bravo Pixar!

I went to see Cirque Du Soleil’s “KOOZA” at the United Center last Sunday and it was amazing. Of course I am a die-hard fan of their work but I must say this was up there as one of my favorites. I believe they extended it’s run here in Chicago until the end of August so I must recommend that you go. As well look into the VIP Tapis Rouge tickets, they are more expensive but well worth it in my opinion!
Hurry, go check it out! You won’t regret it!
