When I heard about Fifty/50 I was excited to check out the new “sports lounge” in Wicker Park. What I wasn’t expecting was a smaller but more dressed up version of Wrigleyville’s main pick-up joint John Barbleycorn. The place wasn’t packed but it was still too loud to have a conversation, and the patrons were mostly post-college frat-stars pre-gaming before hitting up the downtown clubs. What happened to Wicker Park?
