If you are really serious, than get ready to get ripped off. What’s with the attitude? I came to get a tune up and the price just changes, as they seem fit. The first time I was quoted me approximately $95.00, and the second time, a week later was 125.00?The stuff they sell is pretty much higher than all other shops in the area. The people working there, well I’m not still decided on. First time got an attitude, second time OK. Lets see how my third experience is going to be to get a tune up and I wonder what its going to cost me?
i la la la love this place. its one of the few bike shops in chicago that i don’t feel intimidated going to because the people who work there are genuinely friendly and helpful. they usually have whatever it is i am looking for and if they don’t they are always willing to order it. keep up the great work guys and gals.
I was at Rapid Transit a few weeks ago buying some fenders for my bike, and the guy working at the register basically talked my out of buying something that was more expensive and into a cheaper set that would do a better job protecting me from tire spray.
I enjoy coming to this shop because the staff is always congenial and I don’t feel pressure to purchase anything if I’m just looking for answers. They also carry Ortlieb products which is a bike plus in my book.
